This is the first year i am away from home on Mooncake festival also known as Mid-Authum festival or Lantern festival. Luckily KTT Chinese Cultural Society held a celebration activity. They were selling herbal eggs and lanterns and also prepared lantern quiz for all of us who couldn't go home.
Only then i found that there were lantern quiz in english-quite unbelievable- for non-chinese to participate too. Eg. What season in a year that is most dangerous? How many months have 28 days?
Today our class had a trip to the Islamic Bank in Nilai, NS to collect our ATM card. JPA opened accounts for us and deposited the incentives for six months. We were so excited while receiving the cards. YEAH! Later on, we went to the nearby McD to celebrate our happiness.
Our AS Trial exam starts next week. AND MORE extra or additional or replacement classes. These are the terms they change to care for our feelings. *sigh* That means we won't have much chance going back home.

This means that i should start studying NOW
My mid-sem exam in KTT ended. It turned out not as expected. All thanks to Maths, out of expectation.
I never feel this disappointed with myself before. Yeah, maybe i thought i would be the same, or even easier than Taylor's sem exam. I know what i'll get. Well, i've prepared to be scolded ,humiliated?
It's okay. That means i should start studying everyday as if exam is tommorow.
I don't know why, i did badly, i was confident, i am confident.
Lesson leant: Today onwards, i should study intensively.

127 hours
If you are trapped in a canyon as your right hand is stuck between a boulder and the narrow slit wall, what will you do? Will you give up your life by suicide to end the suffering? Or willing to cut off your hand for a chance of survival?
I've just finished reading "127 hours between a rock and a hard place". It had inspired me stay strong at whatever difficulties and circumstances. And the most important value is to survive. Do not ever attempt to end your life.
This true story was happened in 2003. A young retired engineer named Aron Ralston is an experienced mountain climber, an active outdoorsman. When he was canyoning in Utah, he accidentally moved a about half ton boulder and it crashed his right hand. He was trapped there with scarce food, water supply, experienced extreme weather of canyon, hot in the daytime and shivering cold at night. He was being challenged psychologically and physically. It was a miracle that he survived for 5 days, trapped for 127 hours, then he made up his mind to amputate his arm to free and save himself. In those days, he took pictures and videos recording the whole incident. You can search them from the internet.
I thanked my classmate here for lending me this good book. I admire his strong spirit very much. His inspiring experience influence many people, he wrote this incident into a book and now the story has became a movie.
p/s: Esther, I'm sure you will like to read it, search it from your library.
